Local ‘Royalty’ Helps CPC Mission Effort
The Queens of Lake County joined CPC’s mat-making ministry for a service project on February 22 and helped recycle shopping bags into mats for unhoused persons. It takes about 2,000 bags to make one adult-sized mat. The resulting mats are durable, provide a decent degree of cushioning, and do not require frequent cleaning unlike other bedding. They may be wearing tiaras and sashes, but make no mistake that these young women work hard to make their communities better places to live for everyone.
